This comprehensive program is designed for postpartum doulas, focusing on essential skills and knowledge for maternal and newborn care. This program equips participants with the skills needed to provide comprehensive care to mothers and their infants, ensuring a strong foundation for their careers in maternal and infant health care.
This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
Length: 40 hours
Baby Massage, Lactation-Promoting Meals, and Nutrition: Learn the techniques of infant massage to soothe and bond with babies, understand the principles of lactation-promoting nutrition, and explore dietary strategies to enhance infant health and development.
Prenatal and Postnatal Care: This module covers the essentials of care before and after birth, focusing on the physical and emotional health of expectant and new mothers. Learn how to support mothers through the challenges of pregnancy and the postpartum period.
